You’re getting sleepier and sleepier and sleepier! Ever wonder what Hypnotherapy is and how hypnosis can be used to help improve aspects of your life? I’m always open to finding about any and everything that may help improve our lives, so I went digging and here are my quick tips on Hypnotherapy. ?

1) WHAT IT IS – Hypnotherapy is the practice of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes. It is a form of alternative medicine. ?

2) WHAT IT’S USED FOR –  It can be used in an attempt to help with a variety of problems, from coping with stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD, fears, eating and sleep disorders, smoking, breaking habits, nail biting, grief, loss, chronic and acute pain and much more. ?

3) HOW IT’S DONE- The person is guided into a deep, relaxed trance-like state where they are hyper focused, concentrated and become highly suggestable. While in this relaxed state and under the guidance of a certified hypnotherapist, the person is guided to connect the conscious mind to the subconscious mind to access repressed memories, buried emotions and feelings and/or to get to the root of what may be causing their problems. ?

4) TYPES OF TREATMENT – Two main types: Suggestive therapy and analysis therapy, the names pretty much explain them. ?

5) DOES IT WORK? – Hypnotherapy works for some people but may not be appropriate or work for everyone. Always consult with a fully trained, licensed, certified or qualified professional before seeking any form of medical and/or alternative treatment or procedure. ?
