QUICK TIPS: Jamaican Me Sexy!

When it comes to fitness and working out, it’s always been and up and down journey for me. Either I’m 1000% in and working out every day hard core or I’m being a total slacker.

Luckily, most of my life I have managed to maintain a pretty healthy and do I dare say sexy body. Here are a few of my personal fitness tips.

#FITNESS GOALS: What works for me is to make fitness more a healthy lifestyle practice than a diet, workout, weight or muscle management program. ?

#EAT: On my best days, I master consuming a balanced diet that contains only the calories needed to fuel my body for the day.  When I need to lose weight, I eat less or just enough calories for daily fuel and workout more daily to burn stored fat. Since I’m Jamaican sometimes the home cooked Caribbean food gets the best of me. ?

#EXERCISE: I can always get quick cardio by doing fast walking, taking the stairs, walking to places instead of driving, dancing, doing jumping jacks, jumping rope, pull ups, lunges or squats just about anywhere. ?

#TONE – Free weights are great! I love my 5lb weights, they do wonders on your arms and ankle weights for your legs are great too. I also like to use my own body weight to help tone itself, doing resistance training exercises and working with bands. ?

#FLEX – For me Yoga is a favorite it seems to work both my body and mind and I love regular everyday stretching just to keep my body free of tension and it can be done anytime, anywhere. ?
